Cookie Policy
1. What are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files that websites visited by the user send and store on their computer or mobile device, to be retransmitted to the same websites on subsequent visits. Thanks to cookies, a website remembers the user's actions and preferences (such as login details, chosen language, display settings, etc.) so that they do not need to be entered again when the user returns to the site or navigates from one page to another.
2. Cookies used on this website
Under Article 122 of Italian Legislative Decree 196/2003 and the Italian Data Protection Authority's guidelines of 10 June 2021, this notice covers cookies and other tracking tools that store or read information on the device. The site uses as few of them as possible.
Technical cookies: they are needed for the site to work, for navigation, and to remember the choice made in the banner (local key "elica-cookie-consent-v2"). They do not require prior consent, because they are strictly necessary for the service you requested.
Non-essential tools, enabled only after consent:
- YouTube cookies (Google LLC), for embedded videos;
- Vercel Web Analytics (Vercel Inc.), for aggregate visit measurement.
Until you press "Accept", these tools are not loaded. "Reject" is as prominent as "Accept", and browsing remains available. You can withdraw the choice at any time on this page.
3. YouTube Video Management and Enhanced Privacy
To protect your data, this website uses the advanced youtube-nocookie.com embedding system.
Before consent: no Google profiling or advertising cookies are installed when the page loads. The video does not start.
After consent: if you pressed "Accept", the video can be started and YouTube may install third-party cookies to monitor views, remember preferences, and personalize content across its network. If you refused, or have not chosen yet, the player is not loaded.
4. Visit measurement (Vercel Web Analytics)
The site may use Vercel Web Analytics, provided by Vercel Inc., 440 N Barranca Avenue #4133, Covina, CA 91723, United States, which processes the data on behalf of the Controller.
The tool does not set a cookie to count page views, and the user-identification feature is not used. The script does, however, read information already on the device (page address and referring page) and sends it to Vercel together with technical data from the request: device type, operating system, browser, and approximate location (country, region, and city) derived from the IP address. Vercel computes a hash of the request to distinguish a visit and deletes it within 24 hours. The IP address is not shown to the Controller.
These operations fall under Article 122 of the Italian Privacy Code and EDPB Guidelines 2/2023 (version 2.0 of 7 October 2024) on the technical scope of Article 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive: the script instructs the device to transmit information. Audience measurement is not strictly necessary to browse the site. The conditions under which the Italian Authority, in its 10 June 2021 guidelines, treats some analytics as technical cookies are not met either (aggregate statistics only, with no session identifier, and with the IP masked before any processing). The script is therefore loaded only after "Accept".
Purpose: aggregate statistics on site use, with no advertising and no cross-site matching. Legal basis: consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and Art. 122 of the Privacy Code). Consent is optional. Retention: session hash for at most 24 hours; aggregate statistics remain in the Vercel dashboard for as long as the service is used. Transfer to the United States: according to Vercel's notice updated on 1 June 2026, on the basis of the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. Withdrawal: at any time, with "Reject cookies" on this page; from that moment no new measurements are sent.
INTEGRATION WITH THE PRIVACY POLICY: PERSONAL DATA PROCESSING (Contact Forms and "Work with us" Section)
Pursuant to EU Regulation 2016/679 (GDPR), we inform you that this website collects personal data on a voluntary basis only and only after you have given your explicit consent by checking the checkbox before submitting the forms.
1. What data do we process?
When you use our contact forms or submit your application for the "Work with us" section, you are asked to provide the following personal data:
Identification Data: First and Last Name.
Contact Data: Email Address and Phone Number.
Location Data: City and Country of residence.
Professional and Profile Data: LinkedIn profile URL and Curriculum Vitae (CV) file in PDF or Word format.
2. Purpose and Methods of Processing (No Database)
We guarantee a security-oriented and data-saving approach ("Data Minimization"):
No Database Storage: Your personal data, your messages, and your Curriculum Vitae file are not permanently stored in this website's databases, nor within the software's storage servers.
Direct Forwarding via Email: When you click "Send", the data and attached file are converted into a temporary encrypted in-memory stream and instantly delivered via email to the Data Controller's mailbox for evaluation. The email routing service used is provided by Resend, Inc., a secure technology partner compliant with GDPR standards.
3. Legal basis for processing
The legal basis for this processing is exclusively your explicit consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), freely given before submitting the form. You have the right to withdraw your consent at any time by contacting the Data Controller.
4. How to disable or manage cookies manually?
You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Disabling technical cookies may impair navigation. Blocking non-essential tools, in the browser or with "Reject" on this page, prevents YouTube videos from starting on the site and leaves visit measurement switched off.
